This would be funny...

If it wasn't so sad. Several Churches have begun to use fighting as part of their church service....For no reason at all from what I can tell. Since I cant really explain this very well (because of how stupid it is) this clip will explain it better than I can.

What is wrong with these people? As a Christian I find this embarrassing. What part of the Bible states : "Jesus, the son of god who promotes peace and loving EVERYONE, wants you to put two men in a cage and have them beat each other to a pulp." ?

What is wrong with these people?

never followed the bible. I am too sensible to believe in most of the stories but I promise you this does not represent all Christians in the slightest. I am a Presbyterian and at my church we are much more liberal and accepting. Its nice to walk through your church parking lot and see Obama bumper stickers on many of the cars.

And there are not so good people, and they are religious too. I don't see religion as the driving force here, but a rationalization to deflect from the actual motivation.

If you don't "follow the bible," And you are "too sensible to believe in most of the stories," how do you determine which "stories" are believable?

[font color="navy" face="Verdana"]Make church "masculine" entertainment, and the men will attend and donate.

A quote from a fight promotor pastor in the Raw Story article says the rest, though: "I think God made men masculine… Men are made for combat, men are made for conflict, men are made for dominion.

They want women submissive and in the back seat, so the men have to be tough and dominating. Great for ignorant masculine egos and the arena's church's balance sheet, and great for keeping women "in their place."
