I loved this man. Awakenings was a favorite book of mine and it taught me so much about Parkinsons and dopamine.
I cared for many Veterans with halting and shaking and freezing. This book helped me understand some of the thinking and feeling that goes on inside. It made me a better nurse.
Awakenings was also a great movie.
I'll be looking for his other books now.
What a beautiful and brilliant man. May he be in peace.
