CHILDRESS, TEXAS -- Childress Police Departments decision to place decals reading In God We Trust on police vehicles this week has been met with a mixed response.
Childress Police Chief Adrian Garcia said he is adding the decals in response to increasing violence across the country.

This is our nations motto ... its even on our currency. Its nothing new.
Repeated attempts to reach Garcia for comment Thursday were not successful.
