Corpus Christi pastor seeks sanction against atheist after cross lawsuit

By Krista M. Torralva of the Caller-Times
Yesterday 1:46 p.m.

A Corpus Christi pastor who was being sued by an atheist activist is now seeking to have the atheist sanctioned.

Pastor Rick Milby of Abundant Life Fellowship and several city officials were named in the latest string of lawsuits Patrick Greene of San Antonio filed related to religious activities. In March, Greene said he would dismiss the suit because his wife was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease and osteoporosis.

But Milby wants to halt Greene from filing any more lawsuits. The pastor's lawyers filed a motion to dismiss the case and sanction Greene. A hearing on that request is scheduled for May 24.

Greene told the Caller-Times he plans to file court documents stating his "lawsuit isn't frivolous and they are harassing me."
