Donald Trump has once again questioned a presidential candidates religious affiliation, accusing presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton of shielding her religious preference from the public eye.
Speaking prior to a gathering hosted by the conservative Christian activist organization United in Purpose, Trump said there has been no public reference to Clintons religion. The comment was captured in a video from E.W. Jackson, a former nominee for Virginia lieutenant governor who attended the gathering.
"We don't know anything about Hillary in terms of religion," Trump said in the video. "Now, she's been in the public eye for years and years, and yet there's no there's nothing out there. Theres like nothing out there."
This is not the first time Trump has questioned a candidates religion. In 2011, Trump floated the possibility that President Barack Obama, whose path to Christianity is well-documented, could be a Muslim.

Normally, we take things more or less at face value in political discourse, and assume there's some exaggeration, but everything, EVERYTHING this asshole says has to be assumed to be a lie until proven otherwise.

(43,049 posts)but in this country you have to wear your religion on your sleeve and put Christ 10 feet over the flag.
BTW, it's Trump's religion we know little about-- but the RWNJ Christians don't seem to care.
