Still A Muslim Ban, Faith Groups Say

1. Muslims from Saudi Arabia and Egypt are allowed.

While we get caught up in whether this is a "Muslim ban" I think there are more important questions to ask. Why aren't we banning anyone from the country that gave us nearly all of the 9/11 hijackers (and their financial backers)? That's the question even the most ardent Trump supporter is going to struggle with.

2. You mean the Saudi Arabia that is a US partner in Yemen and else where?

The Saudi Arabia where Trump registered 8 companies during his campaign?

3. That's why it's the better question to ask.

By focusing on this being a "Muslim ban" we are falling for the same "look over there" trick that Trump has used since he started campaigning.

4. I agree, but I also feel we must focus on both the discrimination as well as the lies.

If only there was a liberal media that could point these things out and make the connections.

you might find attacking its blatant hypocrisy to be more effective at reaching those who are in favor of it.

They are less likely to be swayed by claims of discrimination.

So in my view the more condemnation, the better.
