The Christian rights new strategy: Divide and conquer the LGBT community

No pic for this one because it was Trump and Milo, both of which are vile people who I never want to see the face of ever again.

https://www.lgbtqnation.com/2017/10/christian-rights-new-strategy-divide-conquer-lgbt-community/

“For all of its recent success, the LGBT alliance is actually fragile, and the trans activists need the gay rights movement to help legitimize them,” said Meg Kilgannon, a parent and director of Concerned Parents and Educators of Fairfax County, during a panel discussion called “Transgender Ideology in Public Schools: Parents Fight Back.”

...

Attendees were also told to wrap their transphobic rhetoric in the language of feminism, claiming gender identity is a concept offensive to women.

Other tips included: No personal attacks on the LGBTQ community, since it’s ineffective (except on politicians who vote for transgender rights); Use secular, not religious, arguments; Run for school board.

...

“In essence,” said Hertzler, “what we’re experiencing is a full scale attempt to short-circuit the democratic process, right, of passing laws through the power of persuasion that reflects society’s values, substituting civil order and the rule of law with the will of a few judges and bureaucrats.”

Anti-trans stances are 100% right wing, and 100% wrong.

And it's all wrapped up in classic misogyny. Like the article lays out, it's an easy way to split the community.

They're twisting the concept of feminism, which conservatives also hate, just for the purpose of spreading more hate.

This is one gay man who will NEVER.. EVER turn my back on my trans brothers and sisters! Fuck no!

No gay right that is enjoyed now has been won without the loud, in their faces, front and center support of the trans community. I have never been to a protest for LGBT rights where members of the trans community wasn't up front, and center, and among the loudest of our supporters.

I will never fail to support the trans community with silence or apathy to their causes and rights. I will never forget how much I owe them.

Shame on anyone in the LGBT community that does. Really. SHAME.

I've had to inform people here that you can't be for LGB without the T.

This is also why when the Pope comes out and says trans folx are a huge threat, he has to be called out, not swept under the rug.

destroying health care, destroying the environment and in this case working another angle to destroy rights for a certain segment of society.

Have they ever done anything to help anyone besides themselves or their donors (which in essence is helping themselves.)?

I forget where I read it, but someone said that patriotism is about standing for something, not against.
