long time ago) went to a Catholic school, and they made her learn to write right-handed. Argggh. However, I'm a leftie (in more ways than one, obviously), and no one made me change, of course.

and the result is that I hold a pencil like I'm digging a ditch and write with the paper nearly upside down. It's weird.
The only advantages to switching came with things like scissors and pay telephones.

means crossing the receiver wire across your chest and a lot of them don't have wires that are long enough. It's either that or try to handle change and dial with your clumsier hand.
