If we have determined that children are not able to have sex, drink, vote...

If we, as a society, have determined that children are mentally/intellectually incapable of making their own decisions about sex, drugs, booze, etc, why is it ok to force religious dogma/ideology onto them before the age of consent?

1) religion gets to choose the age of religious consent/accountability

2) some religions consider themselves to be dealing with almighty eternal salvation, not just the trifling paternalistic interests of persons watching over a temporary mortal existence.

3) it's easy to write on a tabula rosa

4) success with this approach

it's hardly worth considering any other reasons. In other words, it's pretty much a coin flip. And it determines which place you will be sent after death for eternal punishment.

You have to admit that's pretty much fair.
