If your soul/spirit/whatever can transcend your bodily existence, why do you need a body?

My wife bought some to take to Saltillo México; 5 hours inland.
They're that good.

(11,649 posts)i don't believe you need one. i think christianity teaches that you'll be re-united with your body.
i believe in an afterlife, but not the one religions teach.

(11,649 posts)the whole universe/god thing is a mystery. i'm not an atheist because i do believe in an afterlife. i also believe in reincarnation. i describe myself as a neo pagan or maybe a pantheist. i see god in the sky, the mountains, the ocean, trees, etc. not as some strange man sitting somewhere judging us.
that being said, i was raised roman catholic.
