Discovery Church pastor resigns after admitting to affair

I feel like this should be in GD or LBN, but I'm not sure if it will pass the hosts.

Lead Pastor David Loveless has resigned from Discovery Church after admitting to having an affair.

The resignation was announced to the congregation of the Orlando megachurch on Saturday and Sunday.

Loveless is the third pastor of a major Orlando-area church to resign within the past six months because of an affair. Isaac Hunter, lead pastor of Summit Church, resigned in December after admitting to an affair with a staff member. Sam Hinn, pastor of The Gathering Place Worship Center in Sanford, stepped down in January after admitting to a relationship with a member of the congregation.

A statement by Discovery Church elders said Loveless, who founded the 4,000-member church in south Orlando 17 years ago, was being replaced on an interim basis by Director of Ministry Don Cousins.

This was true in the stone age and now. Even Dr. Martin Luther King took his tithe. Why not go with the flow?

He was living with his mom.

He'd been caught having a sexual relationship with the church secretary. They were both single.

Church officials wanted to cover it up and asked them to get married.

She said, "No."
