The most common zodiac signs (and birthdays)

Is it possible our (excellent) colleagues over on the printing presses accidentally ran our column in place of the horoscopes one week? Because all of a sudden, you’re all asking us about astrology.
For example, Leah Loeffert in Annandale, Virginia, noted that everyone she meets in D.C. seems to be a Virgo; she asked if folks who share an astrological sign tend to congregate in certain places. And Emily in Maryland noted that five out of the six people on her team at work are Cancers and asked if people with certain signs cluster in certain jobs.
Stellar questions — literally! Even if you don’t think the position of the stars influences our lives apart from, like, spewing forth the photons that make life on this planet possible, you’re probably still curious about whether birthdays of a feather flock together. And what are zodiac signs but slightly shifted birth months? (Since we’re guessing some of you are as ignorant of your horoscopes as we are, we’ll accompany each sign with the month that comprises the majority of its days.)
