"Beyond a Fetal Position"
A friend sent this to me this morning. She is Episcopalian; this is from a Lutheran writer in Minnesota.

(15,771 posts)I was a Lutheran for a time, and loved our all-welcoming Synod.
I worry for my trans child and so many lgbtq friends, two of which have already tried to "undo" themselves since tuesday...
Personally I spent about 36 hours in shock and grief, slept for a good 18 hrs too...
Then I awoke Thursday with a "righteous rage"...and a fire in my belly. I refuse to lay down and just give up on MY dreams and MY choices for MY life! (and that goes for everyone else I love too!)
So for now I am nourishing myself, healing, re-grouping. I may not be willing to wade directly into the wire of political activism ... but I will find ways to keep me & mine and those within my reach safer than they would be without me.
for now, it is all I can do.
