Rest in Peace, dear Shirael

Today was her funeral. She survived the Nova massacre but could not live with the trauma and took her own life on her birthday.

She went to the Nova festival with 11 of her dear friends, and she was the only one who survived.

She was only 22 years old.

May her spirit soar free of the pain she carried for the last year, and may she again dance with her friends.

May her memory be a blessing.

Such a great loss.

So many tears, so much grief.

On the other hand, we know many Holocaust survivors that built new life so perhaps there is some hope
