(JEWISH GROUP) At least 10 dead, 60 wounded in shooting at Chanukah party in Australia

At least 10 people were murdered and 60 wounded in a mass shooting incident at an outdoor Chanukah celebration in the Bondi Beach neighborhood of Sydney on Sunday, only about a half-hour before Jews in Australia light the first Chanukah candle.

Chabad has reported that one of their shlichim was murdered.

According to reports from the scene, two terrorists opened fire from a bridge at a celebration organized by Chabad, where thousands were gathered, including many families with small children, at about 7 p.m. Australian time (3 a.m. Cleveland time).

Those present began fleeing the scene in a panic, and many tried to hide. Witnesses said that it took a long time for police to arrive and neutralize the terrorists.

Instead, they will focus on the brave person, who is also Muslim, who temporarily disarmed one shooter to only be shot by the other. It is similar to what happened with the murders that took place at the Hypercaher in Paris.

As for "excuses", they are already out there, Israel/Netanyahu is really to blame, Trump (Miller/Kushner) are to blame (this was in Australia), lack of gun control (different country, different laws), and no doubt the countless number of anti-Semites who are "horrified" by this, use the deaths of Jews to promote their "see, we aren't really anti-Semitic because their deaths "horrify" us." Which reminds me, people really should read People Love Dead Jews by Dara Horn.

A sad way to start Chanukah.
