(JEWISH GROUP) NJ police official expected to leave force after bigoted remark
Lt. Col. Sean Kilcomons, deputy superintendent of the New Jersey State Police, is expected to leave the force around the time governor-elect Mikie Sherrill takes office amid an ongoing investigation into an alleged antisemitic remark about the states Jewish attorney general and his son.
The New York Post reported that the attorney generals office opened an internal investigation into a complaint amid allegations that Kilcomons said, I dont want that Jews kid in the state police helicopter during a Bring Your Child to Work Day event on April 25, 2024, referring to attorney general Matt Platkin.
According to the Post, Sherrill, a Democrat, isnt interested in keeping him on.
After the remark went public, Kilcomons attended the March of the Living in Poland, in a delegation organized by the Miller Center for Policing and Community Resilience at Rutgers University and the Global Consortium of Law Enforcement Training Executives.
