I think it is a new dog-whistle.

While it is a term which has been around for a long time, when it comes to anti-Semitism, many Jew-haters learn to adapt and use terms which summon their Hell Hounds all the while sounding "polite" or "nondescript". Even calling enemies "New Yorkers" was once a code among the far-right to talk about Jews. "Family Guy" makes fun on it in an episode. It also gives "plausible deniability" to anyone using the word that they weren't really talking about Jews. When it comes to this word, globalists they will have the assist from those on the left (especially the far-left) who take issue with the word as a dog-whistle, thereby emboldening the haters of the right.
