I feel your pain; I'm the same way.
I hate, hate, hate medical procedures; they scare the crap out of me, which means I avoid them unless I'm almost too sick to move or bleeding from a major artery. Which is stupid. And unlike you I have no explanation; I was never traumatized by medical situations but they scare me anyhow. So I offer you vibes for peace from a fellow medicophobic.
