Found on the I fucking love science Facebook
Last year, a team of researchers in Boston developed a way to inject oxygen directly into patients with an obstructed airway. This allows doctors time to manage the problem of the blocked trachea while minimizing the risk of cardiac arrest or brain injury. The trials are still ongoing for this amazing technique.

OP
The CPAP? Gave up on that, nebulizers, etc. Can't afford all that, just wheezing away.

(53,661 posts)4. Also. I wish there was another way to get oxygen than what we put up with.

(10,642 posts)5. I ended up in the ER in January,
and they tried to get me to wear this oxygen thing that covered my whole head snugly. I really tried to keep it on and control my breathing, but I was in full panic mode and couldn't do it.
I've mentioned to my Dr. that I should try it when nothing is wrong but so far, no go.

'It's always something,' LOL.

(10,642 posts)7. CPAP I can handle...this was way worse. It covered my whole head.
I think what it was doing was gently forcing oxygen into my mouth and nose.
If I had to buy my inhalers in the US I couldn't afford them. I use this place:

Good luck...wheezing all the time sucks!
