The proposed private space tourism flight around the moon has a launch date: before February, 2017.
That’s about five years from now and would mark the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 1 tragedy.
Space Adventures CEO Eric Anderson made the announcement in a Youtube video released today, which you can watch below.

The date is symbolic in that it would honor the fallen heroes of the Apollo 1 mission, Anderson said.
