Related: About this forumNASA: Albert Einstein’s Cosmic Speed Limit
In its first year of operations, NASAs Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope has mapped the entire sky with unprecedented resolution and sensitivity in gamma-rays, the highest-energy form of light. On May 10, 2011 a pair of gamma-ray photons reached Fermi only 900 milliseconds apart after traveling for 7 billion years. Fermis measurement gives us rare experimental evidence that space-time is smooth as Einstein predicted, and has shut the door on several approaches to gravity where space-time is foamy enough to interfere strongly with light.

(37,518 posts)1. Thanks.
I might just use this video in my class later this year.

I'd love to know what the students think of it, and what concepts you're attempting to teach them using this NASA source.
By the way, the original link, http://skepttv.tumblr.com,(Twitter: @skeptTV), describing this video is a gold mine of Tumbler/Twitter posts on scientific discoveries and studies, some referring to videos, some referring to peer-reviewed publications in recognized journals.
I highly suggest following them on Twitter.
