By doing it on Fox, it will get to a wider audience, than PBS. Of course, that means we'll have to watch all the erectile dysfunction, hair removal or restoration, AARP, and end-of-life insurance adverts (some adverts which amazingly overlap in all those categories).

4. Nota bene: this is not the Fox News network.

This is the Fox network which broadcasts on my TV. (Two stations from two cities.)

I have no NBC here in the woods, but I get two Fox stations. One broadcasts old films just about 24/7 on a subchannel (and a few months ago the original "Outer Limits" late night).

So, not all Fox is under Roger Ailes' control.

7. While it might be under the umbrella of Fox

the entertainment division has little to nothing to do with the news division. Good thing.

Pox News addicts will continue to watch the jiggly bottle blondes and listen to the whoosh noises. They won't watch any educational crap.

I think Tyson will do a wonderful job. Sadly, the originals with Carl Sagan would look horribly dated today. While some of his guesses were correct, others were not.
