MOST INSPIRATIONAL MOMENT, WINNER, AMATEUR: Fading Sunset over the Watchman, Zion Wilderness in Utah. By Greg Tucker, Los Angeles, California: “I had attempted to photograph this scene on numerous previous occasions, but the conditions had never fallen into place so perfectly before.”


WILDLIFE WINNER, AMATEUR: Mountain Goat Kids (Oreamnos americanus). Mount Evans Wilderness, Colorado. By Verdon Tomajko, Superior, Colorado: “I love to capture behaviors and personalities of wildlife, and this was one of the best shooting opportunities I’ve ever had.”

Haven't thought about Maxfield in a couple of decades or so. Thanks for the reminder to find and once more enjoy his wonderful images!

The storm clouds passed, the setting sun turned everything all gold and pink, just like that picture. I was standing in the front yard, marveling at the
"Parrish" effect.
Was quite lovely.
