Last sweep past Saturn's moon Hyperion tomorrow

EarthSky

Cassini spacecraft has brought us breathtaking images of Saturn and its rings and moons. The craft is now preparing for its "last close looks" at the moons. The first one is Sunday. Beginning in late 2015, and throughout 2016 (last year in orbit around Saturn), Cassini will dive repeatedly through the space between Saturn and its rings.

That way, there will be no contamination to any of the moons.

I can't wait for the inevitable "They're going to Bomb Saturn" thread.

BTW (on edit), I R&K all Cassini threads because everything about the Cassini mission is awesome.

I post this here for those who have never seen it. Carolyn Porco's inspiring and awesome Cassini TED Talk.

She describes your posted pic and highlight's its view of our planet.

It is a must view video if you have not seen it.
