Like a dog-sized muzzle on the big bear, though desiccated and all that.
In college everyone was reading the new "Clan of the Cave Bear."
We started referring to it as "Enclave of the Bear Clan." We crazy kids.

and she got the interbreeding thing right, confirmed by DNA what, 40 years later.
I honestly don't want the megafauna killed off by the Younger Dryas Event back, so I hope they don't clone that bear.

or distnctly less noticeable animals. Auel was obviously thinking on the same level of sports teams.
I'm sure there are men out there who are arrogant enough to think they could confine these creatures in pens. Ha!
Even koalas aren't all that friendly when they're annoyed.
