What is your opinion re Russian covid vaccine?

What I hear on the news (France24 and DW -German news)
is that the vaccine is being rolled out for mass vaccination even tho it is still in clinical trials.

It is theoretically not mandatory, but some people are being pressured to take it.

2. My thought

I think I would take a shot of vodka made in some Russian's bathtub in St Petersburg that includes a radiator pulled from a truck that had been sitting at the bottom of Lake Ladoga before I would take that Russian vaccine.

5. You have to understand that the Putin-administration is engaging in a MASSIVE Psyops in Russia.

Constant propaganda how great Putin is and how the whole world hates Russia for no reason.
Putin is great.
Anything that makes Russia look bad is fake news.
Everybody is irrational and hates us.
Be afraid.
Be very afraid.
Did I already say that Putin is great? He's sooo great.

Here's an interview with a russian guy who used to do the grunt-work in domestic propaganda in Russia.

For this very reason, Putin MUST roll out a vaccine. Any vaccine. Whether it's safe or not.

NOT rolling out a vaccine would mean that Russia has to import a vaccine from the West and that would sabotage Putin's propaganda how the whole world hates Russia and how only Putin can protect them.

7. Let's not forget the Russian Federation is still a member of the WHO

...while the US has withdrawn. One of the missions of the WHO right now is the joint development of a CV-19 vaccine and Russia surely has leveraged that effort.

There is a lot of clinical data right now on the vaccines and it is entirely rational to deem the risk of actual CV-19 infections to be higher than the risk of vaccine side-effects.

The CDC is taking it a bit slower, but the UK is moving forward already as well.

History will eventually decide who made the best call.

10. They're actually a little behind Pfizer and Moderna in testing

They were still doing a very limited trial when Pfizer and Moderna were starting larger scale trials.

I don't know what mechanism they've used for their vaccine, so I can't comment on the vaccine, itself. However, I imagine what is happening now is the large scale trial with health care and government workers pressured to partake.

None of this stuff is bathtub science and it will take them time to manufacture adequate doses for their population, too.

Putin's announcement early in the fall that they had plenty to go around was premature, to say the least.
