and he is definitely a hoot and a half, just search "Crime Pays Botany Doesn't." He's done a few local to me (northern Rio Grande Valley) that have helped this Boston Irish transplant to know what she's looking at.

My first visit to the high desert was in late September. I couldn't believe how many flowers there are out here.
