given the elevation. I went to Maui one year and as I was basking in 80F weather at my oceanfront condo, we had to reschedule our trip to Haleakala National Park because there was a Winter Storm Warning and the roads were closed because of snow.

Lots of people have been taking advantage, too. Snowboarding, skiing, and sledding. I was hoping to try snowshoes, but I have to find some and then someone to snowshoe with! I've seen pictures others have taken while enjoying the snow from up there and the view is spectacular. Maui is in full view.
Good thing I kept some boots, jackets, and gloves when we moved here.
