Maybe that’s not the case any more, I really don’t know. The “reverse polish” format was much easier once you got used to it. The last calculator I got was a fancy graphing model HP, given to me by my work, and since I didn’t really do much math by that time I gave it to my son who was in high school. I’m not sure he used it though, the RPN might have turned him off.

A functional education system doesn't require any of them.

Government in the U.S.A. props up far too many obsolete business models, all in the name of "jobs," but mostly for the profit of very wealthy people.
