It's quite fascinating. I've been watching this stream since it started erupting. The amount of magmatic power that is going on here is insanely high. New tissues and vents keep opening up now.

I'll admit I would be up that close too because I'm always curious

(22,243 posts)EMT, Search and Rescue teams, ambulance etc. Intrepid Newsman talked about it the other day.
They move in very quickly to move the crowd back. Most of the crowd is alongside the flow, rather than ahead of it. Also the site has been closed to everyone except the scientists a couple of times, due to the gases heading inland rather than out to sea.
I would need to be 30 years younger and in the physical shape I was in when I was still caving. However I am still obsessed enough to still be up at nearly 3 am watching it

I check into You Tube quite often to see what is happening.
