Paleontologists make new dinosaur discovery in Montana

BOZEMAN, Mont. (KECI) — Paleontologists recently uncovered new information about a dinosaur that can now be seen at the Museum of the Rockies in Bozeman, Montana.

The dinosaur, nicknamed Dolly, was first uncovered in southwest Montana in 1990. Experts say it's a brand new kind of long-necked dinosaur, known as a sauropod.

What they found when they took a deeper look at Dolly’s remains makes the discovery even more unique. Great Plains Dinosaur Museum director of paleontology Dr. Cary Woodruff says they found the first birdlike infection in a non-birdlike dinosaur.

If anybody is up in the Bozeman area, the Museum of the Rockies is a great way to spend an afternoon.
