Beautiful defective cages.

I'm way behind in going through Chemical Reviews.

I came across this one while catching up:

Coordination-Directed Self-Assembly of Functional Polynuclear Lanthanide Supramolecular Architectures Xiao-Zhen Li, Chong-Bin Tian, and Qing-Fu Sun Chemical Reviews 2022 122 (6), 6374-6458.

Regrettably, knowing who I am, I'll only have time to look at the pictures, but lovely pictures they are.

Here's one:

The caption:

Defective, but beautiful.

I got a degree in engineering in 1982 but all I see is beautiful jewelry I'd like to wear. 😬 MLAA Jun 2022 #1
