Oooh, I love a history mystery... Three teams, nobody's talking:

Crews from New York State Museum were on the property Thursday, digging in an area just south of the parking lot, at the edge of Lake George Battleground Campground.

Three separate teams appeared to be digging. A man who was leading the crew said they could not discuss the effort and referred a reporter to museum public relations staff. A call seeking information was not returned Thursday.

The park is maintained by the state Department of Environmental Conservation, but the reconstruction project is being overseen by the state Department of Transportation.

Neither agency responded to requests for information about the situation Thursday.
