kid when the church (mine was Protestant) started talking about heaven and all I said to myself WTF. Then I started asking questions and was firmly told I would not be allowed to attend Sunday School if I persisted. The problem was, the other kids were listening to me and starting to wonder WTF too. And, that would not be tolerated in an authoritarian environment.

That was my gateway to reality (atheism) too! I don't know how anyone can read it and think it is "enlightened".

Bill does a lot of good religious rants, but that one was one of the better ones.
