It seems to me to be more populated here. WELCOME FREE THINKERS!

(6,452 posts)My guess is that it will go back to normal in the coming weeks and months.
Or, maybe it's the fact that any thread can hit the latest page, even from posts in the groups. People just may not have known about our little corner of hell.

(5,649 posts)I had a star for a couple years and was able to get in, but after I lost my star (lots of different reasons), I wasn't able to get into any of the groups. Very sad day, that.

(8,308 posts)i think there will be an influx of a lot of non-regulars in all the groups because of this very reason.

(3,922 posts)Perhaps like many on this board, I was raised a Catholic; or should I say, I was brainwashed to be a Catholic. I had no choice basically since I was essentially incapable of reasoned thought at 4 (I know, slow learner).
But that faith stuff permeates your thought process confusing basic human emotions such as breathing with being gifted with life.
After several decades of losing your family and friends to death - and they never once even send a card, let alone visit - you begin to realize that: Hey! We're no different than the trees, animals, and plants. When you're dead, you're dead.
Then it all starts to come into focus. Let's see now (I'll make this Holiday appropriate)....
god so loved us, that he sent us a baby who grew up to perform all kinds of miracles - never to be repeated again on earth - and let this young man be tortured to death in one of the most horrific murders we ever heard about. Such a nice story! Some call it the Greatest story! I prefer Miami CSI, but I get the picture.
So you, the master of all with infinite power, let your only son be murdered in order to what?? How did that work out? I guess that lotto ticket I asked really has no chance??
I can't comment on the other clubs - I was under the same impression they are - we were the only "true" faith.
Rid yourself of this addiction to mythology and magic and you will find that you can do a pretty job of naivigating life's little crisis's all by yourself. Hell? I think I'll choose cremation.
Merry Friday!
