Righteous among the Theists

Name your favorite Theist

Mine? Mr Rogers. Here is a Reverend, doesn't mention god or the bible ONCE on his show, and tells ALL of us we are special JUST THE WAY WE ARE!

Ordained Baptist minister, yes, but kickass PBS liberal and critic of the corporate media, too!

BTW....next time you argue with a Baptist, remind them that separation of Church and State is in their denomination's CHARTER

It's right there.

I think we come here after we've been battered by some religious pinhead or other and have to unload. It's nice to have a reminder that they're not all pinheads and that some of them who have managed to get the point are some of the best people out there.

Moyers and Rogers are good examples. I'll throw in Jimmy Carter, who is fighting the good fight every day of his life, even when most people have thrown in the towel and are sitting home, reflecting on a long life and withdrawing into themselves as they prepare to leave it.

According to her Wikipedia bio, the cause for her canonization is still open in the Catholic Church. I promise that, if they actually make her a saint, then, in penance for my sins, I'll go a whole month without making any reference to pedophiliac priests.
