I wish I could stop shit like this. Why can't kids have fun without the God BS being forced on them?

this some sort of religious school curriculum for the religion component of the day or Sunday school stuff?

I've never seen anything like this...here in New England the most outrageous stuff I ever saw as a kid was really tame in comparison stuff like "up with people" and that kumbaya kind of acoustic music...nothing as complex and structured as this....

My god! Indeed.

Just looks like a science fair with "god did that" instead of real science.

I love how those who poo-poo science struggle and spend much energy using scientific jargon and rhetoric. Why? To make it should legit.

Y'see, science is crap, but to make something sound real, it should sound scientific....

...of the video, was that it is a desperate attempt by some adult believer to counter the creepy images and sounds you see in clips from "Jesus Camp".

you wanna' see something really scary?

Watch Jesus Camp.

9. Jesus Camp - Where Are They Now?

Tried to help you out. But the YouTube link to the whole "Jesus Camp" video now requires payment.

The whole movie is available to watch for free at some documentary websites. But you may have to put up with a survey and/or European subtitles on the screen.

While poking around, I found this interesting site: "Jesus Camp - Where Are They Now?" Last updated in 2013, I think.

The original Jebus Camp got shut down, mostly due to bad publicity from the documentary. So we can blame that on "atheists and Satan," I guess.

You probably remember that creepy Becky Fischer, the women who ran the camp. And wanted her students to be willing to blow themselves up for Christ, just like fundie Muslim kids.

She's gone on to bigger and better things, starting the "School of Supernatural Children's Ministry." Her goal is to raise up an army of little Xian warriors, to do battle in the Last Days.

As one drives around you spot the occasional road sign advertising that wholesome delight "Vacation Bible School" and all I can imagine is the look of horror on the face of the kid who's parent spots one of those signs and says "yes! that is just how you are going to spend your summer!".

It was Episcopalian, and up in the redwood forrests, so beautiful, we'd hike to the ocean and camp on the beach.

There was a preacher somewhere..

I mean, you can't beat "Jesus is a cool dude" and extra points if you make it to the end without laughing.

The praying i mostly forget. It was short tho.

Sadly, it was one of the better songs.

Canoeing, swimming, hiking, etc. That was fun.
