Ain't That A Shame?

Pat Boone: Government Should Outlaw Blasphemy and Punish "Saturday Night Live" If It Blasphemes (22 April 2016)

Conservative musician and activist Pat Boone has been on the warpath against Saturday Night Live ever since the program aired a sketch parodying the right-wing’s persecution complex, criticizing the show’s cast members as Satanic and bound for hell.

In an interview last night with Alan Colmes, Boone said that “there should be regulations that prohibit blasphemy” and that the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) should punish networks that air such blasphemous programming.

Stupid man but not an uncommon opinion with the religious right in this country. Religion over government is their mantra.

The movie biopic of Little Richard was very entertaining. When he first heard Boone singing his song, his associate told him who was covering it. He replied, "he's not covering it, he's butchering it."

Ozzie wouldn't let Pat do one of his songs on the OP album.

Does it matter how blasphemous it is, or will all blasphemy be equal?

I suggest either stoning or burning at the stake.

The fundamental Christians are TOTALLY different than those Muslims.

Forget about the fact that they have the same sins. Don't think about how they have instituted some really sick punishments for those "crimes". And let's not talk about how they want everyone to think just like them, no matter how they have to force it on them.

It kills me how presumptuous these bastards are. Thinking they know the ultimate truth based on...what...that ancient book full of bullshit and contradictions?

1st Amendment threads are real depressing, like when people tried to argue that drawing cartoons of Mohammed is illegal because it could "make" someone so angry they do something violent.

derpities is right.

LOL for Pat Boone in the bondage outfit, too. I remember that, that was a real moment
