Filmmaker/Author Jeremiah Camara
I only became aware of Jeremiah from the April 2020 issue of FFRF's Freethought Today. Camara spoke at the 2019 annual convention in Madison, WI, which we did not attend.
Just finished watching his 2019 film "Holy Hierarchy: The Religious Roots of Racism in America." Sorta documentary. I liked it. It's available for free if you have Amazon Prime here. You could say it reinforced some things and made me think differently about a few things. It's over an hour in length, so it's a bit of an investment. Written, edited, narrated by JC, who is black, btw. Here's the "official" blurb:
Holy Hierarchy explains how the notions of a Supreme Being in colonial Virginia led to beliefs of supreme human beings and how these beliefs morphed their way into the legal system; ultimately creating racism and turning it into an racism into institution.
So, yeah, that's the blurb. Things that make you go, "Wha?"
