I think we sometimes forget just how controversial this film was upon its release. Here's a discussion between John Cleese, Michael Palin, that stiff, self-righteous bastard Malcolm Muggeridge and some pervo in a dress. Not that I'm biassed or anything.

Hosted by Tim Rice. I'd like to add here, in a completely heterosexual way, of course, that I'd forgotten how absolutely gorgeous Michael Palin was.

I had never seen this before. Those two old bores were exactly the kind of people Python mimicked/mocked.

Regarding the movie, I remember it being pulled from the only theater near us that was showing it. Bunch of local yokels put up a stink and had it yanked. I had to wait for it to come out on VHS!
