Now that laconicsax is gone, DU sucks more. Simple math.

I had taken a self-imposed break from DU, and I return to find the same shit show still going on. I think my break will continue.

I will keep an eye on the forums now and again, just for sentimental reasons, and will check my inbox. If anyone finds a better place to congregate and deal with the problems we face everyday as non-believers, please let me know where it is, because this is no longer it.

A lot of atheist websites are full of Randians and dumbass libertarian Paulites. I want a Progressive website that's geared towards atheists, but I didn't find one that worked for me.

Laconicsax knows he fucked up, and isn't even really arguing the PPR. At this point it doesn't sound he's going to petition admin for a stay of judgment.

While it's not a forum, so ordinary users can't start threads themselves, there are regular open 'zombie' threads where you can bring up anything; and PZ himself is progressive (as are many of the commenters, though I can't speak for them all - I rarely venture into the comments).
