1. To be honest, we were wondering where on earth
... all the fireworks were coming from during the protests.

2. Fireworks during a protest is not really surprising
Fireworks near the 4th of July is also not all that surprising.
https://www.historylink.org/File/2881 Four protesters were arrested for felonies for the throwing of firecrackers or other objects at police.

4. Sure, we were just impressed
It’s hard to find quality fireworks around here anyway.

3. The occam's razor explanation I read...
Is just that people are at home with nothing to do, so they're setting off fireworks. Makes sense. They have access to them at this time of year, and with lockdowns and places closed, it is cheap entertainment (if illegal).
I haven't noticed it in my neighborhood in Phoenix. |

5. Last night one asshole kept going until 12:30 AM
Guy across the street stopped at 10:30, but he's a year round moron.

6. With all the canceled 4th of July fireworks celebrations nationwide
they are selling dirt cheap like a clearance sale to make some profit.
Since outfits like the he Boston Symphony Orchestra don't need tons of fireworks this year, they gets sold to those that want them. In Chinatown the fireworks are easy to get, including the big blasters. |
