OMG. Wild day at Birmingham Airport (UK) today during Storm Ciara: 😨😱

This one almost looked like a Harrier coming in for a landing. Those pilots deserve hazard pay for such a great landing. Why didn't they close the airport?

This Emirates flight had to go around its first landing attempt. This was the second. They ended up diverting to Frankfurt, 518 miles away:
