I rolled over about 5AM and opened my eyes to see it poking though a window and also took pictures. I have loved watching its bright red self up in the sky.

I think I saw venus rise this morning with the moon. Mars has been rising in the evening.

Or did you see mars setting?

Or am I just confused? I’ve been enjoying having Venus and Mars on opposite sides of earth rising in the morning and night. At least I think so.

'Mars will be at its brightest and most visible on Tuesday night, with the Red Planet near its closest point to Earth and directly opposite the sun. The “opposition” of Mars means it will be visible all night long, starting in the east after sunset and climbing high overhead before setting in the west around sunrise.'

Saw it last night too, 'rising.'

So it threw me a little to see two planet rises per day. I need to take an early morning walk in order to catch both. There’s a wash a few miles away I think I can get a good view of both maybe around 4am.

Maybe friday morning...

Was VERY surprised to see crescent moon along with 'some planet' when I was awake (briefly) @ 6; kept my attention, so got pics then, AND when approaching dawn.

Don't think I saw Venus; will check 'later.'
