Orange wind warning for Donegal ahead of Storm Dudley

A Status Orange wind warning has been issued for Donegal as Storm Dudley is expected to bring strong winds and heavy rains this week.

Met Éireann said damaging gusts of up to 130km/h are forecast as westerly winds will reach mean speeds of between 65 and 80km/h.

Winds will be stronger on exposed coasts and on high ground and a combination of high tide and strong winds will lead to some coastal flooding.

The Orange warning will come into effect at 9pm on Wednesday night and will be in place until 9am on Thursday morning.
