Flash Flooding in China

Note: This came from a Japanese news service, so I had to use a translation app.

河原が見る間に激流に... 鉄砲水から危機一髪 中国
While the riverbed is watching, a torrent rushes in... A close call from a flash flood China

"Kawahara in Sichuan, China.

When a large number of people were playing, flash floods made a roaring sound and rushed in at a tremendous speed.
A muddy stream swallows leisure goods.

People who noticed something unusual and ran away in a hurry.
The once calm river flow turned into a torrent.

Many people escaped in the nick of time, but they were stuck on both steep banks.

Some of the men failed to escape and were left behind on the rocks.
Others desperately clung to the rocks to avoid being swallowed by the raging current.

Were there any signs of change?

About an hour before the occurrence, heavy rain information was issued for a short time in the vicinity, and evacuation from the waterfront was called for.

Seven deaths have been confirmed so far."
