A pumpkin. I'm thankful I might have to turn on the heat for a few minutes in the morning, supposed to get into low 30s! I have pillow cases over my potted tomatoes on the porch. Back in the 90s by Friday.

Sweeping the NW for a couple days, when it passes, we're back in the heat dome again. The fires are all west of here. sometimes we get the smoke for the fires in the SW and other times we get the smoke from the Bay area northward. If it's west of us, we'll get the smoke here eventually. It used to be that we were well on our way to cooling down with snow by Halloween.
