Makes me thankful I live far, far inland in a city near Lake Ontario.

That's what it looks like to me too. Same thing was going on eight or ten days ago.

Glad I'm inland as well, Rocky Mountains. We are getting weather from hurricane Kay that formed south of Baja around the same time. My family down in San Diego were telling about what disasters they were having from floods when Kay passed over them. Friends in Utah and Idaho told me they were getting really wet too. Showed up here, Montana, early yesterday. So far, in my location, much cooler temps, was averaging +95F since June, a lot of wind and clouds, waiting for the rain. Still smoky as hell.

I am hoping that there will be enough rain to douse several of the fires that have caused everyone in the NW to become a three-pack-a-day smoker for the past six weeks.

Weather is a big thing here, I spend my first twenty minutes online looking at it every day.
