Living in a red state makes being a loner so easy. .

If I hear "but their parents shouldn't have brought them" one more time I'm going to just scream.

It's hot, the locals are nuts and if I had a way to move to the Pacific Northwest I would be outta here.

Just let the waves clear your mind and relax...

I'm sure I'd find something to complain about no matter where I live. I'm just tired of humidity and stupidity.

I was born and raised in Texas, and am so glad I'm not there now. I love living in liberal Western Washington.

The Eastern half is pretty red, but we outnumber them.

I'm not sure what I could afford out there, but my quality of life is seriously impeded here.

Summer in the south is horrid!

Move forward or die off.

In the Bible it say welcome strangers into your land.

I spent one year in Ft Smith, AR around 2004.

I’m 73; grew up in PA; lived from Maine to Florida to CA and points in between.

I did not feel welcome in Ft Smith, being "left of center".

About an hour from Ft Smith.

My career was one of the few reasons I stayed. Now that I'm retired I think it's time to leave the farm.

I've known some wonderful people over the years, but the ugly ones are REALLY ugly.

But didn't want to offend anyone.

One example I recall is that my co-workers 'of color' would only call me "Mr Bob" because I'm white,
no matter how many times I said "Just call me Bob".

This was in 2004!
