New poll shows democracy and elections in doubt in South Dakota
https://www.argusleader.com/story/news/politics/2024/01/08/new-poll-shows-democracy-and-elections-in-doubt-in-south-dakota/72149113007/]A new statewide poll has exposed deep concerns among South Dakota voters that the U.S. democratic system of government is at risk and also revealed that almost half of voters agree that violence is an acceptable method of protecting the democracy.
Republicans led the way in finding violence acceptable, with 16.5% in strong agreement and 30.6% somewhat agreeing that violence is acceptable to protect democracy.
South Dakota "experts" suggest that I see the violent MAGA mob as caricatures.
No, Mr. expert, I saw the violence of Jan. 6 on my electric TV. I see them clearly for what they are: violent insurrectionists still involved in a slow rolling, on-going coup.
